An honest needle
Every reading is graded high / fair / low from real magnetometer error. When the signal degrades, the chip and the dial warn you — the needle never pretends.
Five demo seeds
Night ferry, city stroll, calibration dance, engine room, lighthouse: deterministic scenario feeds that script both heading and sensor quality, so every state is explorable on a laptop.
A 40-second tour
First visit opens a short guided tour — enable the sensor, read the trust chip, play a seed. Replay it any time from the ? button.
Pick an instrument
3D instrument
A WebGL compass with physically plausible lighting and opt-in parallax depth. Falls back gracefully when WebGL is unavailable.
Open the 3D compass→Classic dial
A lightweight SVG + CSS dial — crisp at any resolution, theme-aware, and render-free at 60 fps.
Open the classic dial→Webcam hero
A camera-reactive pixel field — movement becomes elevation, color and depth. A different kind of sensor playground.
